NYI Purpose

The NYI Purpose is to lead youth into a relationship with Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord, and establish them as His disciples, characterized by a life of holiness expressed through devotion, worship, fellowship, stewardship, and witness.

Led by NYI President, Steve Weeks, our teens learn to love Jesus from a young age, and have a lot of fun along the way! The teens meet in Sunday School, as well as on Wednesday night for Bible study. Below you'll find a very small sample size of activities our teens are involved in.

Talents

Building Leaders and Sharing Talents (BLAST) is a program that encourages teens to discover and utilize their special talents and gifts for the glory of Jesus! Blast events and competitions are held at the district level, and annually at Mount Vernon Nazarene University!

The teens are no strangers to the mission field. Some of the missions our teens are involved in include Christmas shoebox ministry, Mountain Mission, and local food pantries.
